2-Day Garage Floor Installation in Austin
Our floors require skilled tradesmen due to complexities in the installation process. While many companies offer a one-day installation, they are utilizing products that cure way too fast and don't have enough time to soak into the pores of the concrete. This is why a two-day process is essential. We do the right thing — we don't rush a job just to get paid fast and move onto the next. We do the job right the first time so you have a long-term quality outcome.

How It Works
Professional Epoxy & Polyaspartic Floor Installation Process
Step One
Professional Preparation
We mechanically diamond grind to prep your floor. We also make sure to do all minor crack repair, fill any voids in the concrete, and do a meticulous job of concrete remediation before the coating starts.
Step Two
Base Coat Epoxy Application
We only utilize 100% solids aliphatic epoxy for the base coat. This is the key and correct product because it takes several hours to cure, allowing it to soak deeply into the concrete and create an unbreakable bond. Do not make the mistake of using a fast-curing polyurea or polyaspartic as a base coat; it hardens too quickly to properly penetrate the concrete, leading to premature failure.
Step Three
Chip Distribution
Heavy chip distribution is utilized to create a solid armor of aggregate material on top of the 100% solids epoxy base coat. Heavy distribution is critical for the long-term strength and longevity of the floor. Proper chip distribution methods are essential to achieving a flawless aesthetic outcome. Texas Tough Tops is a class ahead of all other installers at performing this step with precision.
Step Four
Polyaspartic Topcoat
Texas Tough Tops uses a state-of-the-art polyaspartic topcoat, a unique, top-of-the-line formula that sets us apart from every other installer. Unlike standard polyaspartics, our topcoat produces no harsh odor that lingers for days or weeks in your home. It applies with excellent viscosity and body, leaving a smooth, premium finish, not the rough, sandpaper-like texture common with inferior products. The floor hardens quickly, allowing you back on it within 24 hours.
