From Bare Concrete

Professional Preparation

We remove all oil, rust, dirt and grime that is deep in your concrete. We use professional diamond grinding to open every pore of the concrete, ensuring our high-end epoxy soaks deeply in and creates an unbreakable bond. This is the most critical step of the entire process, and we don't cut corners on it.

Our diamond grinding process consistently delivers solid adhesion and no peeling. We have the track record to prove it.

Epoxy Application

Our epoxy is not for beginners. It hardens within minutes and cures within hours. Precision and expertise is required. You will be impressed with the level of commercial quality, high gloss finish and thickness.

Your new floor will resist scratches, chemicals/oils, abrasions, and harmful UV rays. Texas Tough Tops is a "Texas Proud" company skilled in environments that require a solid floor that is easy to maintain.

2-Day Installation

Our floors require skilled tradesmen due to the complexities of the installation process. While many companies offer a one-day installation, they are utilizing products that cure too fast and don't have enough time to soak into the pores of the concrete. A two-day process is essential to getting it right.

Choose Your Chip Color & Blend

Decorative chips are broadcast over the wet base coat to create texture, visual depth, and slip resistance. Chips come in a wide variety of color blends, from subtle granite-like mixes to bold multi-color combinations. Each blend is unique to your floor.

We offer a carefully curated selection of beautiful chip blends, all designed to complement Austin-area homes beautifully. If you don't see a chip blend that works for you, reach out and we can source from a much broader array of custom blends for a small custom chip fee. For customers seeking a more modern and contemporary epoxy floor, we offer the latest in epoxy coatings: metallics epoxy. Texas Tough Tops is highly skilled in the installation of these very difficult to install floors. These floors make an incredible statement.

Just like our traditional "chipped floors," metallic epoxy floors are made using the same high quality, 100% solids epoxy. It should be noted that metallic epoxy floors do require double the product to create the desirable "stratus cloud" or "bowling ball" effect. As a result, these floors do cost more. That said, you will likely be the only person in your community with this style floor.
